Dear Friends,
Chairman Pearce has been very busy promoting our position that New Mexico businesses must reopen to save our economy. We believe the health and safety of all New Mexicans are paramount, but that social distancing can be achieved responsibly at all establishments. What's particularly painful for our business owners, employees and all constituents is that the governor has allowed big box stores to remain open, but has ignored the the little guy, the stores and businesses that keep our state's economic engine running.
Our message is beginning to resonate. The governor is bending a bit, compromising by allowing some nurseries to have curbside and delivery services.
