North Carolina’s beer distributors helping the supply chain
After receiving approval from the state ABC Commission, the NC Beer & Wine Wholesalers and NC Retail Merchants associations are lending a hand to help stock grocery and food pantry shelves during the COVID-19 pandemic. “It’s a difficult time in the supply chain to get products to stores,” said Tim Kent, executive director of NC Beer & Wine Wholesalers Association. “What we can do is provide trucks and commercial drivers to help get products to the stores.”
Pepin Distributing donates beverages and lends their truck support
Last week, Pepin Distributing in Florida went to donate 350 cases of water, 125 cases of protein milk and 59 cases of fruit drinks to Metropolitan Ministries, a local nonprofit helping the homeless and at risk. Turns out, they were able to be helpful in another way too. One of Metropolitan Ministries’ trucks had just encountered a mechanical issue, so Pepin’s truck stepped up to help pick up and deliver a load of meat products for the nonprofit.
