We thank President Biden for doing what he believes is best for our
country and making the difficult decision to step down. Now, we have no
time to waste—what's at stake for communities like mine isn't abstract. We
need to unify and move forward to defeat Trump and fascism in November.
That’s why I endorse and encourage unity behind Vice President Kamala
Harris.
My constituents and the most vulnerable constituencies throughout this
country, know what’s at stake.
Trump’s Project 2025 is a plan that will take away our rights, erode our
democracy, and exacerbate harms against marginalized communities. If we
don’t fight back right now, this extreme agenda will harm us for
generations to come.
Trump, his Supreme Court, his Congressional delegation—up and down the
ticket—pose an existential threat to the things we have been fighting for.
We cannot lay down and let them take so much from us.
But it’s not just about what they are going to take from us; we need a
leader who will build a more just and equitable country. We all need a
living wage, clean air and water, affordable housing, health care, and an
end to our tax dollars funding genocide. I look forward to fighting with
President Harris for this and more in the coming years.
