Although we didn’t always agree, we are thankful to President Biden and his administration for their progress on gun safety, including:

– Working with Congress to pass the first federal gun safety legislation in nearly 30 years, the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, resulting in hundreds of thousands of additional background checks, and preventing thousands of firearm sales that could have resulted in death or injuries.

– Appointing the first-ever White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention to coordinate and lead efforts across the country.

– Signing the American Rescue Plan, which allocated significant funding to local governments and nonprofits that address the root causes of gun violence.

While we were able to make big strides during the Biden administration, our team has a lot more work to do to end all forms of gun violence once and for all.

It’s no secret that presidential candidate Donald Trump is an enemy of gun safety, a bully to survivors, and a well-paid pawn of the NRA.

Trump’s campaign of lies, division, and hatred lays bare the fact that he is hellbent on dismantling our fundamental rights, including the right to not be shot.

Young people across the country reject this future and we’re going to do everything in our power to stop another Trump presidency.

Our generation and future generations deserve a country that offers effective and lasting safety as a human right.
