John,
Ahead of Trump’s Republican National Convention speech on Thursday, many in the legacy media were pushing the idea of “a new Trump,” a unity candidate changed by the horrific assassination attempt at his rally over the weekend.
The “new Trump” was the lead character in a barrage of media stories full of firsthand accounts from Trump allies claiming Trump had changed into a more reflective, spiritual, and less divisive leader.
Then Trump’s acceptance speech at the RNC Convention.
We’ll talk more about Trump’s extremely predictable performance at the RNC in a second, but if you’re ready to support COURIER’s factual reporting on the 2024 election, can you chip in $20 now? [[link removed]]
Here’s just a sample of headlines in the days and hours leading up to Trump’s speech:

John, if you only listened to the first 15 minutes of Trump’s speech, we wouldn’t blame you if you thought these claims had some truth.
But the speech was way longer than 15 minutes. In fact, it was the longest acceptance speech in history and Trump played the divisive hits.
He called the U.S. a fallen nation, he lamented that the 2020 election was stolen from him, that Biden was the worst president in history, and that his felony charges were the result of a corrupt justice system going after him in a witch hunt.
So much for the new Trump, huh?
Here’s the thing, John, as much as the media might want to give Trump a heroic redemption arc, after a decade of division, lying, and greivances, we know who Trump is.
And, at COURIER, we’re not afraid to say that. We will never compromise our journalistic values or the truth just to appeal to “both sides” or get a few more clicks.
If you support COURIER’s mission to calling out dishonest and biased reporting, can you chip in $20 so we can reach our goal of raising $25,000 before the end of July? [[link removed]]
