By now, you may have heard some deeply concerning news: The U.S. Postal Service is potentially just months away from collapse.

That’s right: Our nation’s postal service, which employs more than 600,000 people many of whom are veterans, may run out of cash by the summer.

In the middle of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, millions of Americans are relying on the United States Postal Service to get what they need. But so far, calls for help have been denied. It’s on us to put pressure on President Trump and our leaders in Washington to do the right thing and provide full funding to the postal service before it’s too late.

We need the postal service, especially during this pandemic. Countless folks depend on it to receive benefits, bills — and in this critical election year — mail ballots in order to vote from home.

For rural communities, the postal service is a critical lifeline to important resources. The stakes are especially high for a workforce made up of a large number of women and people of color, who are already hurting more during this pandemic because of our broken health care system.

It’s never been more important to stand with the USPS. If you agree, add your name to demand the federal government save our United States Postal Service. [[link removed]]
