Crescent Crown Distributing is donating over $450,000 to COVID-19 relief efforts
Crescent Crown Distributing’s Arizona and Louisiana locations are working together to donate over $450,000 in relief aid to support bars, restaurants and workers that have been directly impacted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In Arizona, they are working with the Arizona Licensed Beverage Association (ALBA) and the Arizona Restaurant Association (ARA) to donate a percentage of their profits from sales during the month of April, with a minimum commitment of $250,000. In Louisiana, Crescent Crown Distributing is donating $200,000 to the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation to benefit the South Louisiana Bar Owner Relief Fund. Another $10,000 will be donated to the Nurse Relief Fund through the Louisiana Nurses Foundation.
For the first time since World War II, Germany canceled Oktoberfest due to safety concerns about the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. The annual celebration typically takes place from late September to October and brings in about six million visitors. Still, even with masks and social distancing, the threat of COVID-19 spread was too high.
