Dear Reader,

As millions of Americans receive stimulus checks now and in the coming weeks, many of us are fortunate to be able to share some or all of the money with the less fortunate, with people and organizations that face special needs during this pandemic crisis. NCR is one of those organizations.

The coronavirus pandemic is a story of tragic suffering and loss, but it is also one, to use the words of Pope Francis, of "grace and redemption." NCR is working hard to increase its daily coverage of the pandemic. We are focusing on the hardest hit communities and people, including those whose lives have been upended or lost. We are also focusing on those whose personal sacrifices offer extraordinary examples and give us hope. Their transformative acts of compassion need to be highlighted.

Tens of thousands are coming to our website daily for this coverage--with numbers continuing to grow.

If you are in a position to share some or all of your stimulus check, please consider NCR in your giving plans. As you know, we are Catholic and reader supported. You may wish to give now, or plan to make a gift during our annual Spring Fund Drive that begins on April 30.

We will get through this crisis together. We need each other! Thank you so much for your support.

With gratitude,

Tom Fox
