We’re all incredibly fortunate that brave Californians are stepping up across the state to fight against COVID-19. Nurses, doctors, janitorial staff, public service employees -- they are all putting their lives on the line to keep our communities safe and our local economies afloat here in California.
If our campaign succeeds in November, it will mean local communities will have more funding to support the frontline heroes like:
- Alfredo, who is keeping our essential buildings clean and sanitized;
- Joyce, who is helping unemployed Californians access critical services;
- Vanessa, who is helping treat COVID-19 patients.
These are just a handful of stories of Californians putting their lives on the line, but they serve as reminders that Schools & Communities First will invest necessary resources so we can improve our public health.
Thank you for doing your part to help California flatten the curve and get through this difficult time, and thank you for taking a moment to thank heroes on the frontlines of the COVID-19 response!

The Schools & Communities First initiative reclaims $12 billion every year for California’s schools and local communities by closing commercial property tax loopholes benefiting a fraction of corporations and wealthy investors. The initiative benefits residents and small businesses by exempting homeowners and renters from any changes while implementing new tax relief for small businesses.
