former President Trump some immunity.
While the Court did not hand Trump and his MAGA cronies the total victory
they wanted — the fact that the Court chose to slow walk its opinion in
the presidential immunity case played right into Trump’s legal strategy of
delaying his three remaining criminal trials indefinitely before the
November election.
And as we've seen today, it's worked,
John. Today's ruling was yet
another example of this hyper-partisan Court tossing a lifeline to the
former President.
If Trump wins, he has promised to enact a targeted campaign of "revenge
and retribution." So it's not an understatement to say that a second Trump
term would be disastrous for our democracy.

What’s worse, Trump could still potentially win this fall. While recent
polls have shown Trump has started to lose his slight lead over Biden,
with a Fox News poll showing Biden two points ahead of Trump, make no
mistake, this race will be close.^1
