Hi friend, it's Debbie. I just stepped out of an important finance meeting and, unfortunately, we’re falling dangerously short of our $1 million end-of-quarter fundraising goal. 

We're entering the most pivotal months of the election cycle, and we cannot afford to be outspent. Especially when my GOP opponent, Rick Scott, is the richest senator in the country who can write his campaign massive checks whenever he wants. 

I'm tired of seeing politicians buy their seats and push forward dangerous policies that do not benefit the communities they promised to serve — and that includes Rick Scott. Last election, we saw him spend $64 MILLION to buy this seat. And now, he's lying about supporting in vitro fertilization after voting against both IVF and birth control protections. 

Ya no más. Enough is enough. I'm fighting to protect our democracy and retire Rick Scott, who has only threatened to take away our rights, raise costs for families, and cut Social Security and Medicare. 

I've got what it takes to win in November, friend, but I can’t do it alone. Unlike my self-funding opponent, I'm solely relying on grassroots support from people like you to help me finally give Florida the leadership it deserves. 

That’s why I’m personally asking: Will you please chip in $5 now to help close the gap, defeat Rick Scott, and keep the Senate blue?
