Dear friend,
The only way we can safely vote during a pandemic is with widely expanded, if not universal, vote by mail—facilitated by a well-organized and fully funded USPS.

In February, Congress passed the USPS Fairness Act, a bipartisan measure designed to help protect USPS. My opponent, Jason Smith, was one of only 106 Representatives to vote against this. And now, the Postal Service is being hit hard during the coronavirus pandemic, and Republicans like Smith and President Trump are content to let it shut down. This is completely unacceptable.

The Postal Service is the cornerstone of our rural communities. It’s how we get vital information and resources; it provides steady, well-paying and dignified jobs; and it helps our local businesses stay afloat and thrive. Smith’s vote against the USPS is a vote against rural families and an attack on their ability to stay connected personally and economically to the world.

It's time for new leadership in Missouri's 8th District. Someone who doesn't vote against the best interests of their own constituents. Help me unseat Jason Smith—every contribution you make goes directly to letting voters know about this, and many many other, destructive votes he has taken. [[link removed]]

With your help, I am confident we can turn the tide in my District, and in similar districts across the country. Thank you for your support for strong Democratic candidates everywhere.

Hoping you stay healthy and safe,
