Save the Children Action Network is the political voice for kids.
We’re still waiting on your signature, John.
I hate to be pushy, but it’s important.
While some kids are kicking back for summer break, millions in poverty are falling behind. We can change that, though – by ensuring every child has access to early learning opportunities.
For some kids, the start of summer means an end to learning.
It’s called the summer slide, John – and it happens all across America.
Without access to books or math activities at home, children can lose up to three months of progress when school’s out. Every fall, they struggle just to catch up.
John, did you know that 90% of brain development happens by age 5? Before kids even start kindergarten, their biggest window of learning is almost over.
That’s why I’m such a big advocate for early childhood education. It builds strong foundations in soon-to-be students – so they’re prepared to overcome challenges like summer learning loss.
But right now, Congress is considering budget cuts that’d make it harder for families to afford early learning.
Kids need your voice and your compassionate support. Your donation will help hold lawmakers – from the White House to state houses – accountable to children’s needs. Please donate today – even $5 can make a difference!
