Without access to books or math activities at home, children can lose up to three months of progress when school’s out. Every fall, they struggle just to catch up.
John, did you know that 90% of brain development happens by age 5? Before kids even start kindergarten, their biggest window of learning is almost over.
That’s why I’m such a big advocate for early childhood education. It builds strong foundations in soon-to-be students – so they’re prepared to overcome challenges like summer learning loss.
But right now, Congress is considering budget cuts that’d make it harder for families to afford early learning.
