On this day two years ago, the Court overturned a hundred years of settled law.

John, on this day in 2022 the Supreme Court overturned New York and seven other states’ common-sense concealed firearm laws.

The decision expanded the Second Amendment and established a dangerous new framework for courts to use that would harm states' abilities to regulate guns. Under Bruen, it is considered “unconstitutional” to restrict firearm access unless the reason for limiting it is rooted in American “history and tradition.” We know we don’t need to tell you just how deadly that American history and tradition has been for the last 248 years.

When people can, without limit, carry firearms in public, people die. Enough is enough.

NYSRPA v. Bruen was filed by an NRA-affiliated firearms organization that sought to undermine gun safety legislation.

Two years ago, this decision showed us that the Supreme Court values the gun lobby over our lives. Just this month, they again proved that money is more important to them than protecting Americans from mass shootings.

We’re not going to stand for this. On the anniversary of the SCOTUS NYSPRA v. Bruen decision can you help us stand up against their blatant disregard for our lives and safety?

The Supreme Court had a chance to prove that our lives are worth the full protection of the law but, instead, they became yet another institution that values guns over the American people.

March For Our Lives shared an amicus brief before the decision in NYSPRA vs. Bruen that shared stories of young Americans who have been personally touched by gun violence, capturing the experience of a generation that has been forced to grow up amidst this epidemic.

SCOTUS made the wrong decision and we’re doing the work to fight back. Help us continue our work by donating anything you can today.

Thank you,
