    Spirituality As A Determinant Of Health

    In the June issue of Health Affairs, “Reimagining Public Health,” Katelyn Long and coauthors explore ways to incorporate spirituality as a social determinant of health within public health. 

     

    The researchers review recommendations emerging from a systematic review of evidence on spirituality and health published between 2000-2022.

     

    They conclude that spiritual literacy should be considered part of public health training, and that coordination between public health, academic, and faith leaders be strengthened, among other recommendations.
