Dear John,
Today, as we celebrate Juneteenth, we want to lift up the incredible Black women working to make North Carolina a better place. We're proud to support our Featured Candidates like Auditor Jessica Holmes, who is the first Black woman to serve on the NC Council of State, Rep. Diamond Staton-Williams and Safiyah Jackson, who are running in some of the most competitive legislative districts in the state, and the Black women who have stepped up to run for office from the mountains to the coast.
This August, we will be hosting our annual Engage Women of Color Leadership Training . The purpose of this training is to create a safe space for women of color to take a deep dive into campaign structures, fundraising, field plan development and strategies, reproductive messaging, and the various levels of the ballot. Stay tuned for the application to launch soon!

We hope you are able to celebrate and reflect on this Juneteenth. Thank you for your support as we work to elect a diverse coalition of progressive, pro-choice women in NC!
In solidarity,
Montica Talmadge
Interim Executive Director
