We invite you to our next community conversation, COVID19: Shifting Mutual Aid in Our Communities.
Power Shift Network

Hey John,

I hope you are all taking care of yourselves in the midst of these trying times. Two weeks ago, PSN hosted a conversation about the movement moment we are facing during the COVID19 crises. With over 50 organizers and community activists from all over the US and Mexico, we collectively analyzed the lessons of revolutionary political catalysts in South America and here in the US. We had some laughs, incredible questions were asked, and even made a few new friends.

Community space, political education, and sharing real-life experiences are what we here at PSN want to continue to uplift and invest our time and care into. We invite you all to our next community conversation tomorrow, COVID-19: Shifting Mutual Aid in Our Communities.

This Friday, April 17th, Newark Water Coalition, a New Jersey based water sovereignty organization working to combat water inequality and lead pollution in the low-income communities of Newark, is joining PSN members, friends, and allies to talk about their shifting work in the time of coronavirus. They will discuss the increase in policing and hyper-militarization they've seen recently and share how this has led to new, innovative strategies for mutual aid in Black communities. The webinar will include a 30min teach in about new tactics on mutual aid in hyper policed communities, followed by 1hr of questions, connections, and conversations.

Connect with organizers, expand your action around mutual aid and lean into the patterns and lessons learned from those on the front lines. Click here to register!

In solidarity,

Sarin Glenn, Network Organizer
