The second anniversary of the Supreme Court's Dobbs decision reversing Roe v. Wade is less than one week away. Here in the South, we've seen the dramatic consequences of this decision as almost all of our neighboring states have issued total or near-total abortion bans and North Carolina Republicans enacted an unnecessary and harmful 12-week ban.

Despite these setbacks, Lillian's List and the people of NC are fighting to keep our state an abortion access point. We've recruited and trained women who are champions for reproductive freedom to run for office up and down the ballot. Right now, two generous donors are matching contributions up to $45,000 to continue our work to elect progressive, pro-choice women.

We did get some good news last week when the Supreme Court upheld access to the safe and common abortion pill mifepristone. But that won't stop NC Republicans from going after our healthcare again next year if they are able to keep a supermajority in the General Assembly.
