Dear friend,

Will you make a contribution to FAMM’s COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund? http://support.famm.org/site/Donation2?df_id=1720&1720.donation=form1&mfc_pref=T&autologin=true

We are doing all we can to protect the thousands of prisoners around the country at risk of contracting and transmitting coronavirus. Your gift will go toward supporting FAMM during this critical moment. A gift of any amount will help us reach our goal of raising $5,000.

The moment FAMM learned of the pandemic, we jumped into action. We worried that officials would do little or nothing to protect the most vulnerable people in our prisons and jails, plus the staff in these institutions who go back out into the world after their shifts each day.

Over the past few weeks, we have been working around the clock to save as many incarcerated people from the spread of COVID-19 as possible. We have:

• Launched a massive effort to help hundreds of people in federal prison apply for compassionate release with the assistance of free, qualified attorneys;
• Worked with leaders in Pennsylvania to secure the release of more than 1,000 people in state prison;
• Persuaded states to provide more information online about the spread of the coronavirus in their prisons and the steps they are taking to stop it; and
• Organized protests and public education events to raise awareness of the threat COVID-19 poses to incarcerated people.

In this time of crisis, our community is growing stronger and closer. But we need your help to continue and expand the efforts we are making to force our elected officials to take action.

Please make a special gift to FAMM to support our COVID-19 relief efforts. Together, we can make a difference in the fight to protect some of the most vulnerable among us. http://support.famm.org/site/Donation2?df_id=1720&1720.donation=form1&mfc_pref=T&autologin=true

Sincerely,

Kevin Ring
