Remember, Rodriguez challenges California's interpretation of the scope of your right to keep and bear arms. 

Under the current Ninth Circuit ruling, you have the right to own a firearm, but police can seize it and outright refuse to return it. 

Worse, the Ninth Circuit says that as long as you can buy another firearm after a seizure, your rights have not been violated.

That's why Rodriguez is one of the most important Second Amendment cases in the nation.
