I've noticed this trend of "influencers" and "breaking news" accounts posting a lot of copium lately.

**Yesterday**, it was a fake letter from Donald Trump [link removed] about Hunter Biden.

**Today**, it was claiming [link removed] the

**RULES** vote for the Merrick Garland contempt charge was the

**actual** vote??(there's a difference).??

This is inevitable in a social media obsessed world. Everyone's trying to be "first" to a story, especially now that X (formerly Twitter) monetizes your tweets for you.??

But, like Carrie Bradshaw [link removed], I can't help but wonder about the broader implications of this. How many people just see the "news," assume it is true, and move on with their lives with falsehoods in their heads???

This isn't the "fake news" we've heard about for years, which is typically malicious in nature. This is just good old fashioned jumping the gun, most of the time from people who don't mean any harm.??
