John,
Republicans on the House Judiciary committee led by our opponent Congressman Jim Jordan have been in subpoena madness over the past few weeks as they try to retaliate against anyone and everyone involved in the prosecution of former president Donald Trump.
The irony of Jim Jordan going subpoena crazy while still refusing to answer to the subpoena he received for his involvement in the January 6th Capitol Insurrection was not lost on Congressman Jamie Raskin (D-MD) who stated:
"It's rich beyond measure, like a billionaire rich, to be asked to hold the attorney general in contempt by people who themselves received subpoenas to testify before the January 6th Committee"
And when Jim Jordan didn’t show up at a hearing he initiated to grill Attorney General Merrick Garland for supposedly not complying with one of Jordan's bogus subpoenas, Congressman Jim McGovern (D-MA) noted the irony as well, stating:
“We’re missing a chairman here. Mr. Jordan has sent a substitute which is unfortunate because I would’ve liked to have asked Mr. Jordan about his noncompliance with a Congressional subpoena but I guess he was too afraid to come."
