[[link removed]]Dear Friend,

In 2017 I hosted one of my Sister Giant Conferences in Washington DC. I invited my friend the then newly elected Pramila Jayapal to share with us her political vision.

Little did we know at the time that Jayapal was about to take DC by storm, becoming in a very short time one of the most powerful legislators on Capitol Hill. Congresswoman Jayapal knows our politics have fostered a me-first rather than a we-first society; she’s not afraid to say that, and she’s using her power every day to change it.

It comes as no surprise that her opponents are planning to do everything possible to defeat her in the upcoming election. We must not let that happen. In Washington State’s 7th Congressional District, she’s up against a Republican opponent who would rather preserve our country’s corporate sick-care system than guarantee health care for all, even in a public health crisis like we’re experiencing today. Right now, we need Pramila Jayapal in DC more than ever.

Pramila doesn’t accept the corporate PAC donations that poison our politics—her campaign belongs only to the people who fund it. Will you make a grassroots contribution of $5, $10, $15, or whatever you’re able to give so Pramila can keep transforming the country in Congress? [[link removed]]

DONATE MORE ! [[link removed]]Pramila—the first Indian-American woman elected to the House of Representatives—is leading the fight to ensure that all legislation, especially during this health crisis, strengthens racial equity and economic equality, provides long-lasting support, and applies to everyone no matter where they live or their immigration status. Her priorities for the next relief package include preventing layoffs and ensuring small businesses and nonprofits can flourish, providing immediate and direct relief to individuals and families, protecting public health, and ensuring we have safe elections.

Pramila Jayapal is more than a good woman; she is an extremely important voice, particularly at this time.

Please make a grassroots contribution of $5, $10, $15, or whatever you’re able to give so Pramila can keep leading the way for all of us. [[link removed]]

With your help we will keep Pramila where she is and doing what she does best: in the U.S. House of Representatives, telling truth to power and leading the way to a better America.

Thanks so much. I hope you are taking care of yourself at this trying time...

Marianne
