She gets it — Kathy Hochul is the first mom to be Governor of New York, and she’s had to make the tough choices and compromises that so many working parents have to make.

Now, she’s helping millions of New Yorkers get the support they need to raise their families here.

She was recently on the “American Fever Dream” through the Betches podcast network, where she discussed a few of the initiatives she’s uplifting to make New York the best place to have children and raise a family.

➡️$1.6 million for maternal mental health initiatives to help expectant and new mothers. We need to break down the stigma of asking for help, especially for the people raising the next generation of New Yorkers.

➡️Paid family leave for prenatal care. Pregnant women need the time off to take care of themselves and gather the resources necessary to have a healthy childbirth.

➡️Supporting doulas, who help women get through the stressors of childbirth. Gov. Hochul has secured Medicaid coverage for doulas, a brand new initiative to help women get through the challenges of childbirth.

➡️More tax credits for parents raising kids. It’s expensive to take care of kids, and new parents deserve support to make ends meet.
