June 2024 Update

I am more than humbled to have been elected statewide by Democratic caucus-goers to serve as a Congressional District 1 Delegate to the National Convention and a DNC Member. Running for these posts was about more than winning. It was about identifying deep roots of harm to ensure our neighborhoods are safer, healthier, and more economically secure.

After making thousands of calls, speaking at forums, and listening to voters, one thing is crystal clear. There must be greater checks and balances to prevent harm in Colorado and ensure there are fairer outcomes when harm has occurred.

That is why I will be traveling the state to attend listening sessions and community meetings to hear your thoughts about solutions for the people of Colorado. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you would like to talk, host a gathering, or if there is an event that you think I should attend.

As for the DNC, my position as a National Committee Member will commence the day after the Democratic National Convention and on my birthday, August 23, 2024. However, I still plan to host my annual birthday party complete with a band this year. Please let me know if you have any recommendations for live music and be on the lookout for an invitation in August.
