Henderson in Danger of Losing Property Rights - Unles You Stop It.
Call Your NC Representatives: Nix S906. S374, and H409
PLEASE share this information with your address book. Sen Tim Moffitt and Rep Jennifer Balkcom need to hear from all of us TODAY before the 3 bills below are moved out of commmittee and passed. These bills will be to the detriment of every property owner in NC, especially Henderson. They give cover to our Commissioners for the housing density that we have been railing against.
2) work with us to make sure these bills are not passed
3) draft legislation that PROTECTS private property, water, flood plains, farmland, and zoning. We will surely support this endeavor and any other suggestions you have.
S906, S374 and H409, the legislation they drafted and sponsored. are not in the best interest of Henderson County or for our state. These bills are a recipe for disastrous consequences for our economy and quality of life.
Henderson is a beautiful place that is being transformed into Asheville by design. These bills clearly infringe upon private property rights, diminish our quality of life by jeopardizinf our sovereignty. The by-partisan support for the bills also does not lend to their credibility or make it okay.
You can meet with us at a time of your convenience.
We also regularly meet the third Thursday of every month at noon at Bay Breeze Restaurant in Hendersonville. We would be happy to have you come to talk to the folks so we can plan to work together to preserve North Carolina and our Henderson County.
NC drafted Legislation S906, S374 and H409 are not in the best interest of Henderson County or for our state. These bills are a recipe for disastrous consequences for our economy and our quality of life. They give ‘General Assembly cover’ to our Commissioners to continue their irresponsible growth that leads to county area annexation, an excuse to do away with zoning restrictions, and potentially creates an untenable water shortage (as it did in Buncombe).
