John,

Earlier this year, our Arizona newsroom, The Copper Courier , was the first to break an important story about PragerU ’s mission to put right-wing misinformation in Arizona’s public schools.

If you’re not familiar, PragerU is a right-wing media company that produces an educational “curriculum” for kids containing videos like “What Radical Islam and the Woke Have in Common" and "Is There Really a Climate Emergency?"

They even have a guest course taught by Tucker Carlson.

In a moment, we’ll tell you more about Dennis Prager, PragerU ’s founder, and his disturbing educational beliefs. But if you support our mission to expose right-wing misinformation and propaganda like PragerU , can you chip in $20 now? [[link removed]]

So who is Dennis Prager? Prager is a conservative talk radio host of the Dennis Prager Show . Prager founded PragerU in 2009 in part to carry out his life’s mission of influencing “as many people as possible to adopt Judeo-Christian and American values.”

It’s hard to overstate PragerU ’s influence since its creation. PragerU ’s videos garner more than a billion views per year.

In addition to Arizona, PragerU ’s content has been approved for use in the Florida, Oklahoma, New Hampshire, and Montana public schools.

Central to Dennis Prager’s educational philosophy is a hatred of college and universities, or as he put it in a recent blog post:

In the blog post, Prager also wrote about how young people “never” return from college “finer, kinder, more moral or intellectually more developed.” Instead, he claims college-educated people have been “brainwashed” into anger and contempt.

Simply put, Dennis Prager is a dangerous, far-right propagandist. His radical curriculum and his worldview don’t belong in our public schools.

And that’s what makes COURIER’s work so important. With your continued support, our newsrooms can continue to hold state officials who enact these policies. Parents in these states deserve to know what their kids might be learning in school, and we’re proud to provide that service in communities where bad information is likely to spread.

If you want to help support our nine other battleground newsrooms like The Copper Courier , can you pitch in $20 now? [[link removed]]
