The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices now recommends universal hepatitis B vaccination for adults aged 19-59, regardless of risk factors. With 254 million people living with chronic hepatitis B worldwide, many are unaware of infection. Vaccinating all adults can reduce cases, hospitalizations, and deaths, despite previous focus on high-risk individuals. Universal vaccination is cost-efficient and vital in preventing liver disease and cancer.
