Hi John,

I want to wish every member of the LGBTQI+ community across North Texas a happy Pride Month! During this month, we celebrate love, diversity, and the core American value of freedom of expression.

As a member of Congress and the Equality Caucus, I will always fight to protect the rights of LGBTQI+ people and for a more equal, loving future for Americans in every corner of our nation!

Instead of working with us to protect personal freedom and address the most pressing problems that our nation faces, Republicans have held more than 50 anti-LGBTQI+ votes on the House floor and invited anti-LGBTQI+ remarks in more than 40 committee hearings.

It’s ridiculous - and our country deserves better. House Democrats, like myself, will continue fighting against the relentless, Republican-led attacks on the LGBTQI+ community.

So can I count on you to donate? Each dollar we raise will go towards supporting candidates who will fight to protect the rights and freedoms of LGBTQI+ Americans.

Growing up in Fort Worth’s historic Como neighborhood, I used to dream about opportunities that would allow me a chance to experience things that filled my imagination; about American heroes and fascinating places in our country. I dreamed that I could one day make a difference in the lives of my friends and neighbors. It was that simple goal that eventually led me to Washington and the halls of Congress. 

For over a decade, I have been humbled by the ongoing support and encouragement of the community that raised me. Today, I’m asking for it again.
