Appealing Your Property Tax Assessment
While the General Assembly has passed several laws in recent years to help keep property taxes low, the rise in home values is causing property taxes to increase for many Hoosiers.
This is an issue I am concerned about as your state senator and a taxpayer, which is why I am looking forward to the findings from the State and Local Tax Review Task Force as they take a close look at our property-tax system this summer.
Hoosiers wishing to appeal their property tax assessment may do so through their county assessor's office by June 17.

Each day, I am grateful for the fifty brave men and women (pictured above) who are deployed in El Paso, Texas as a part of Operation Lone Star.
Thank you for protecting Hoosiers from illegal human trafficking and drug trafficking activity at the border.
