As we bloom toward the summer and the new opportunities it brings, I am thrilled to share an uplifting partner profile, just posted on our blog. We’re highlighting the important work of Mothering Justice and their powerhouse Lead Political Organizer, Courtney Blake-Sims.

Mothering Justice is at the forefront of dismantling structural racism against Black mamas and their families across the United States. Their mission is to center the voices of moms of color, and one of their standout initiatives is the Congressional Mamas Caucus. This initiative addresses a variety of crucial issues related to the health and welfare of birthing people.

Courtney Blake-Sims exemplifies tenacity and dedication. Transitioning from a career in the arts to a powerful political voice during the COVID-19 pandemic, she now leads Mothering Justice, driving significant policy reforms and advancing their mission.
