June 2024

Today is the 80th anniversary of D-Day. A day when ordinary men changed the course of history.  I am reminded of General Eisenhower’s message to the troops ahead of their grave mission:

“Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely.”

Yet, June has become a month that is one of the most contentious and divisive months of the year.  When we used to anticipate summer vacations, visiting Grandma and Grandpa, Father’s Day, and all around summer fun, now we anticipate every single agency of the Federal government promoting Pride month, including every branch of the U.S. military.

Our time in history is exactly the same.

Our task is not easy in the pro-life movement.  We are faced with a well trained, well equipped, well funded, battle tested enemy who will fight savagely to protect their position, “their truth” versus THE TRUTH.

We, too, can be ordinary men who change the course of history.  We can take a stand.  We may not be on the beaches of Normandy, but we can certainly take a stand in our neighborhoods, within our circles of influence, and with our elected officials.

For example, yesterday, many of you took action and called U.S. Senators across the country to speak up about The Right to Contraception Act (S. 4381.)  The bill had nothing to do with women's "reproductive health" or protecting the availability of contraceptives.  As Senator Amy Klobuchar said in her remarks on the Senate floor, this bill "buys time" for Senate Democrats to "codify Roe.”  The bill was a Trojan Horse.  It attempted to strip American parents from their right to consent and to strip Americans from our religious liberties.  It so broadly defined contraception, it could include the ‘right’ to deadly abortion pills.  Thanks to you, the cloture vote failed!

It’s no coincidence the Senate took up this bill in June, as we anticipate the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on FDA’s egregious changes to how dangerous chemical abortion pills are regulated.

Another example: on June 1st, our neighbor put out a new flag putting his values on full display.  We put out our PRO-LIFE FLAG to proclaim our values.

If you are one of more than 75 friends who became a monthly donor or who donated over $100 to GLA, you received your pro-life flag. Post your flag! Take a picture and send it to us or post it on social media - tag GLA!  (Click on our social media buttons below.)

If you didn’t get a flag, it’s not too late. Become a monthly donor or donate $100 or more, and we’ll send you a pro-life flag so you can display it during the month of June. This is how we grow a culture of life.

Let’s make June PRO-LIFE month in Georgia.

Our voices have profound power.  We are in a life-or-death struggle. The pro-abortion/ pro-death crowd who are in power play by different rules.  They use the sledge hammer of government however possible to win every fight.

It’s our time to play the game to win.  Show up and speak up. Join us.
