Hey JOhn,

When I was asked to serve as President Obama's White House technology policy advisor, I wasn't planning on working in politics forever.

At the time, the Obama administration was one of the first to bring technologists to the policy table and to use technology to make government services better and more efficient. So, when I was asked to lead the task force on technology policy, it was an opportunity of a lifetime to make a difference in a meaningful way. (See a throwback photo 📸 here)

We tackled some of the biggest issues in the country, addressing cybersecurity threats and modernizing government agencies. I learned so much from my time in the White House working for these amazing mentors, I decided to continue my work in public service and never looked back.

Now, I’m ready to take on the toughest fights to solve our nation’s biggest problems in Congress, but I cannot do it without you. Chip in to support my campaign →

Together, we’ve made a ton of progress by taking on the tough fights in the VA General Assembly. I'm looking forward to bringing those lessons to Congress.

Thanks for having my back.
