I wanted to share the new digital ad that Our Great Task launched today.
The ad, entitled "Noble Purpose," features previous Presidents of the United States speaking about the courage and sacrifice made by those who landed on the beaches of Normandy 80 years ago today to defend freedom and defeat tyranny. To conclude the video, former Congresswoman Liz Cheney states that "America deserves a president as good and steadfast as our nation, a president of character, driven by a noble purpose, one who honors the sacrifices of our troops. Not a man consumed by spite, revenge, and self-pity."

"Noble Purpose" - (1:56)FORMER CONGRESSWOMAN LIZ CHENEY: On June 6, 1944, President Roosevelt addressed the nation with a prayer for the troops landing on the beaches at Normandy.
PRESIDENT FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT: Almighty God, our sons, pride of our nation, this day have set upon a might endeavor...They fight to end conquest. They fight to liberate. They fight to let justice arise, and tolerance and good will among all Thy people.
FORMER PRESIDENT DWIGHT EISENHOWER: These men came here, British, and our other allies, and Americans, to storm these beaches for one purpose only. Not to gain anything for ourselves. Not to fulfill any ambitions that America had for conquest, but just to preserve freedom, systems of self-government in the world. Many thousands of men have died for ideals such as these.
PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN: One's country is worth dying for, and democracy is worth dying for, because it's the most deeply honorable form of government ever devised by man. All of you loved liberty. All of you were willing to fight tyranny, and you knew the people of your countries were behind you.
PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH: Today we give thanks for all that was gained on the beaches of Normandy. We remember what was lost, with respect, admiration and love...This freedom and these hopes are what the heroes of D-day fought and died for.
CHENEY: America deserves a president as good and steadfast as our nation, a president of character, driven by a noble purpose, one who honors the sacrifices of our troops.
