I hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy. We know everyone is wishing things would get back to “normal” – but what if we used our experiences during this challenging time to create a new normal?
A normal where every American has the right to quality healthcare. A normal with Medicare for All and a federal Paid Sick Leave policy. A normal where Americans can take time off to care for sick relatives with Paid Family Medical Leave. A normal without price gouging on critical supplies and prescription drugs. And a normal where everyone makes a living wage and all essential workers, from custodians to grocery clerks to truck drivers, are valued.

This crisis has proven that our healthcare system has failed us . When it started, we had Americans afraid to get tested – and even get care – because they couldn’t afford it. Even now, people are going to work sick because they don’t have paid time off. We see hospitals, cities, states, and the federal government all competing for medical supplies – costing us billions. The fact is: No other country in the world pays more for healthcare and gets so little.
The new normal Betsy envisions won’t happen if we send Susan Collins and the same establishment politicians back to Washington. We need to spread Betsy’s message across Maine – but we need your help .
