Haiti's Mango Emergency
Thank you!
We are truly grateful for the support of our Emergency Mango Appeal. Our goal of $35,000 was ambitious, but you stepped up and made it happen. The mangoes are already being delivered. Below is a video from Father Jean Paul, who is coordinating the mango distribution to schools in the city of Gonaives (translation below).

"On behalf of all of the schools that received mangos, we send a big thank you to each and every person who decided to support this impactful activity. The children are so happy to receive the mangoes! It is a source of joy for them. They now have food to take home to eat. The children and the teachers all shared the mangoes between them. These mangoes were purchased at a time when families struggle to raise funds, so these mangoes will enable them to use their limited resources to purchase other necessities. We are all so happy to receive the mangoes because they are very useful to us at this time. Thank you to Sr Pat and to all of the other supporters who are links in the chain of this campaign to protect the environment. Now fewer people will cut down their mango trees, and we will have more mangoes and more fruit trees which increases the overall food supply in the area. Mangoes will be made into juice and transformed into many other products as well. This is how we receive and appreciate the mango initiative. Thank you very much, stay strong. We eagerly await another mango delivery so that we can distribute them for people to enjoy before they spoil. Thank you very much."
