| Hi John, On the 10th anniversary of the Phoenix VA scandal and the sixth anniversary of the signing of the VA MISSION Act by President Trump, we have an obligation to honor our veterans by holding the VA accountable to their primary mission: "care for those who shall have borne the battle." Six years ago, President Trump signed the VA MISSION Act into law finally giving veterans the health care choice they deserve by reducing veteran dependance on government run health care. Yet despite this being a signed law, the Biden administration has dragged its feet to fully implement the most crucial elements of expanding care to our veterans. This crucial legislation is under attack. The community care provisions of the MISSION Act, which are vital for veterans with PTSD to get the best care quickly, are being ignored by the VA. Veterans nationwide are facing massive bureaucratic barriers in accessing community care and are actively being denied information about their benefits. Despite the significant reforms and accountability measures introduced by the MISSION Act, the Biden administration’s VA has continued to fail veterans in providing timely and quality care.
