About the job
The Contracts and Procurement Division (C&P) is currently hiring a Procurement Strategist. These leadership positions help staff in their development by means of advising, coaching, and mentoring in all aspects of procurement, leading complex and challenging procurements and contracts for statewide goods and services, and assisting lower-level staff in the same.
In these positions, you will be responsible for training and mentoring staff in the division and increasing the project management and procurement skillset of the division. These are key positions that are responsible for reducing the cost of government operations by applying Lean principles, supporting statewide socio-economic goals through innovative procurement methods, and helping DES procurement staff meet or exceed customer expectations.
These positions may be relied upon to supervise and/or oversee staff and projects.
