    Better Playbook For Future Emergencies

In our June issue focusing on Reimagining Public Health, Jennifer Nuzzo of Brown University and her team of coauthors describe their Testing Playbook for Biological Emergencies, a proposed national testing playbook.

The authors suggest that the United States’ relatively poor response to the COVID-19 pandemic could be in part due to the lack of a national testing playbook.

Their playbook outlines testing priorities for 6 phases of a response to a biological crisis, and aims to “add nuance and structure to existing preparedness plans, enabling more effective decision making.”
