Despite his recent conviction, Donald Trump is heading to Southern California this weekend for a series of fundraisers – with tickets going anywhere between $5,000 and $250,000.

That’s staggering for a few of reasons:

Trump will surely draw attention (and money) to vulnerable Republicans like our opponent Mike Garcia. Garcia has been in lockstep with Trump on everything from supporting a national abortion ban to questioning the integrity of our elections and democracy.

When Garcia was asked about how he felt having Trump – now a convicted felon – as the presumptive Republican nominee, he said he wasn’t concerned and that the American people “saw what happened in New York.”

With Trump in town and Garcia continuing to blindly stand with him, all eyes will be on our toss-up race. Republican donors have been more galvanized than ever, and the truth is Garcia is set to see a massive boost in financial support thanks to Trump’s visit.
