 Team, Earlier this year, I began my 800 mile advocacy run across Mississippi to raise awareness about our campaign’s commitment to fighting for reproductive rights, access to affordable and quality healthcare, and an economy that works for all of us. Today, I completed my 200th mile of that journey. This was particularly special because this leg of my run ended in my hometown of Rolling Fork. Seeing so many folks waiting for me cheering me on and waving signs in support was truly heartwarming. Growing up in this community, I learned the value of lending a helping hand to your neighbors. We didn’t have much, but we always had each other. It’s a lesson I’ve carried with me my entire life. Through serving in our Armed Forces, working in The White House, and advocating for working people and mothers as an attorney, I’ve remained steadfast in my commitment to work for others and create better, stronger communities where each of us has the ability to thrive. That’s exactly why I’m running for the U.S. Senate. Our leaders in Washington have forgotten their obligation to serve the people who elected them. Partisan politics have left more folks feeling disillusioned with our democracy than ever before. It doesn’t have to be this way. Our team has thousands of supporters from Mississippi and across the country working alongside us because they’re ready for change. As your next Senator, I will always put people before politics and work with my colleagues regardless of their party for the best interests of our communities. Having a large team is crucial – our opponent has money, but we have the people who make this campaign possible every day.
