Dear Neighbor,

As vice chair of the Congressional Equality Caucus and a proud ally, it’s my honor to wish you all a happy Pride Month!

Pride Month is a time to celebrate the authenticity, strength, and resilience of the LGBTQI+ community. Pride started as a protest and we must honor the legacy of Stonewall by continuing the fight for full equality.

As anti-equality extremists continue their relentless attacks on queer rights, it’s more important than ever to advance a pro-equality agenda through Congress. I fundamentally believe that all people deserve to live freely as their authentic selves, and I will continue to fight to protect LGBTQI+ Americans right to love and be who they are.

Congress should be working to protect EVERY American’s rights – not singling out LGBTQI+ people, for discrimination. No matter if you’ve been out for decades or haven’t come out yet: know that you are seen, you are loved, and I’m fighting for you!
