### **A History-Making Election**

Mexico just recently held its presidential election to replace Obrador since he wasn’t able to be re-elected. The results have shocked the country as well as the world. Claudia Sheinbaum has won the election, making her the first female president of Mexico.

Sheinbaum was quick to announce that the other two candidates have called to concede to her. She also made a victory speech, saying, “I will become the first woman president of Mexico. I don't make it alone. We've all made it, with our heroines who gave us our homeland, with our mothers, our daughters and our granddaughters.”
