John - Jim Jordan’s quixotic fight to protect Donald Trump from the justice system has taken a dangerous new turn.

After Former President Trump was convicted on 34 counts in his hush money trial last week, Jordan and the House GOP are going to try to attack and discredit Special Prosecutor Jack Smith.

Today, Jordan sent a new letter to the House Appropriations Committee urging the panel to cut off funding for the federal and local criminal probes into Trump:

Nothing says that you know Trump is guilty like trying to defund the Special Counsel bringing charges against him.

We know that if Trump wins reelection he plans on committing more crimes, he’s said as much, take for instance his comment on how it will be a “bloodbath” if he wins again, or how he will be a “dictator on day one.”

And who will be running cover for him? None other than Jim Jordan. In fact, if Trump has his way, he plans on removing House Speaker Mike Johnson and replacing him with Jordan. With Jordan as Speaker, there’s no telling what Trump couldn't get away with.
