While Ted Cruz usually makes the news for the wrong reasons, his endorsement of Donald Trump’s ‘Project 2025’ — an authoritarian, far-right playbook that seeks to dismantle our democracy — has gone surprisingly uncovered.
And Project 2025 is a lot scarier than you think, John.
Here’s just a preview of what its implementation would look like if Trump — now a convicted felon — is reelected:
- Firing as many as 50,000 federal workers deemed insufficiently “loyal” to Trump and the radical MAGA movement.
- Ending the relative independence of the Justice Department and other federal agencies.
- Taking a “wrecking ball to the administrative state” by slashing budgets and abolishing the Pentagon’s DEI initiatives (or anything else Republicans classify as “woke”).
- Increasing the production of fossil fuels while deregulating greenhouse gas emissions from cars and ending ALL of the White House’s clean energy programs.
- Implementing a national abortion ban.
John, Project 2025 is nothing more than a Joker-esque playbook to advance the MAGA GOP’s extremist right-wing policy goals at the expense of us all.
And what’s worse — our part-time senator has come out as one of its biggest cheerleaders.
