Happy Pride Month, John!🌈

As we step into Pride Month, we want to hold space to celebrate the queer community while also keeping in mind that this goes beyond one month.

Pride Month is every month, and we must remember that the fight for a safe thriving future for all queer folks is continual.

We know that LGBTQIA+ rights and freedoms are intertwined with gun safety. Queer and trans folks are 2x more likely to be shot. That’s unacceptable.

The LGBTQIA+ community deserves to live without fear of violence.

We’re seeing extremist laws across the country threatening queer and trans people — everything from healthcare restrictions, bans on drag performances, bans on inclusive and important literature, and attacks on trans people’s rights to live freely.

It couldn’t be clearer this Pride Month: this is a time for action.

At March For Our Lives, we will continue to uplift queer voices, mobilize youth across the country, and build our future one step at a time until all people live in a world free of gun violence.
