The first-ever mosquito-borne virus has been detected in Michigan. The report was published by the Michigan Health Department following the testing conducted on some of the bugs that were collected in a county situation in mid-Michigan, which resulted in positive results.According to the reports, the bugs were tested positive for Jamestown Canyon virus. It is to be noted that the infected mosquitoes were detected in Saginaw County, meanwhile no human has been tested positive for any mosquito-borne illness, including JCV.
