Did you see Colmon’s piece in the Lexington Herald-Leader? He called out the GOP’s hypocrisy for praising teachers last month during Teacher Appreciation Week while simultaneously refusing to give our educators the raises and support they deserve. This is the very definition of gaslighting.

Governor Beshear and Democrats advocate for an 11% raise for teachers, which would boost local economies and bring Kentucky up from our current rank of 41st in the nation for teacher pay. Republicans would rather drain our public schools of the resources they need to pave the way for unaccountable private school vouchers – paid for with your taxpayer dollars.

Republicans are failing our public schools while trying to point fingers at the very individuals who’ve dedicated their lives to preparing the next generation for success.
