Come join leading climate justice educators and students for “Embodying Courage and Resilience as We Educate for Climate Justice,” the 15th Annual Mindfulness in Education Conference in Rhinebeck, NY.

Participants will:

• learn about and share best practices to educate for climate justice
• create action plans for their classrooms and school communities
• use SEL and mindfulness practices to nurture active hope, cultivate a sense of kinship, and channel climate anxiety into effective action

The conference will take place at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY, from July 12-14th, 2024. It is co-sponsored by Transformative Educational Leadership and the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies.

The conference is inspired by the vision of climate justice education described in Teach for Climate Justice: A Vision for Transforming Education, the new book by Morningside Center’s founding executive director Tom Roderick. (Participants will all receive a copy!)

The conference will feature an educators’ panel and a youth panel both comprising active members of New York’s Climate Resilience and Education Task Force.
