COMING SOON?- DFI Statewide Advertising Campaign Financial Fraud Prevention
We've been working with a marketing firm, analyzing information and data from the FTC, FBI and other regulatory agencies, and will be launching the "$10 Billion Reasons" financial fraud prevention campaign June 14. The FTC released their 2023 data that indicates Americans lost more than $10 Billion - yes, BILLION with a B - dollars to financial fraud this past year. Add to this the information from the Justice Department indicating only about 15% of victims actually file complaints and you can see this is a HUGE problem.? The campaign will be in movie theaters for the summer blockbusters, on I-5 billboards in Fife, social media, streaming services, radio, AARP, on news sites and more!? The goal is to get viewers to visit the landing page www.dfi.wa.gov/10B (going live June 14), get more information about fraud at https://www.dfi.wa.gov/10B/Identify and report it when it happens to them, friends or a loved one. ?
